interests overseas. UK Trade and Investment is the British Government’s
trade and investment promotion organisation. Our role is to help UK
businesses succeed in overseas markets and attract high quality
investment to the UK.
We are currently looking to recruit a Trade and Investment Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Director of Trade and Investment and will be responsible for helping UK companies in the ICT, Healthcare, Food & Beverage and Clothing, Footwear & Fashion sectors take advantage of business opportunities in Indonesia.

TRADE AND INVESTMENT MANAGER
Main Duties :
Requirements:
- To help UK companies in the ICT, Healthcare, Food & Beverage and Clothing, Footwear & Fashion sectors take advantage of business opportunities in Indonesia.
- Identify opportunities for British companies to win business in Indonesia and devise strategies to ensure these are effectively promoted to British business
- Contribute to the business planning process and deliver related projects, events and activities, including inward missions, outward missions, seminars, exhibition groups and workshops;
- Manage client relationships, including building and maintaining a network of relevant contacts in the UK and Indonesia
- To provide briefing on sectors and companies for the Director of Trade and Investment, the Ambassador, visiting officials and VIPs
Requirements:
- A degree plus at least two years experience, or five years experience (in lieu of a degree) of working either in the private sector or international trade (market research experience would be advantageous)
- A self-starter, able to work independently and on their own initiative to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
- A proven track record of successful relationship management with international clients
- Events and project management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent English, both written and spoken
- The job holder must be prepared to travel to the UK and within the region
- Some evening and weekend work will be required.
The
British Embassy offers a competitive remuneration package, inclusive of
salary, benefits and training opportunities. Employment offers are
subject to successful clearance of pre-employment checks. In relation to
this, the successful candidate will need to arrange his/her own Police Certificate. You must also have the permit to work in Indonesia in order to apply.
